Image Dump

I figured this was as good a time as any to upload my pictures.

Heres me on the C-17 flight from Kyrgyzstan to Kabul. (say that 5 times fast)

And heres the view behind me in the aircraft...thats 2 and a half batteries worth of solders..our baggage, and the crew.

More after the page jump.
The mountains behind Camp Dubs

The palace of the last Queen of Afghanistan, as seen from the block of connex's in camp.

And here's the entrance to our lovely chow hall.

The grill outside the chow hall, no idea why theres a pair of six-shooters on top

This is what a police car looks like in Afghanistan.  Everyone has Rangers, the cops, the army, even some of the bigger bases use them as on-base transport.

This is the squad patch we had made up.  Lots of groups make these up, but we don't always wear them...but its a nice morale thing.

And last, but not least, yours truly trying to be Rambo...and failing miserably.

I'm going to start trying to carry my camera more often to take more pictures of my life around here.

  2. I wonder what the soldier, over your right shoulder, is thinking. Perhaps, "Dude..cover that head, the glare is going to kill us back here" ;-)
